Rival Q.
« on: March 30, 2008, 01:49:06 PM »
Well my wife has a Rival, but doesn't throw it very often. For those of you who have been throwing it for a while now, and have quite a few games on it, how much has the reaction tapered off. And yes, I avoided the word "die" on purpose. lol. Let me know.

My Rival was my fav ball until losing reaction 60-75 games. Ebo Covers require a lot more attention and care than any other brand imho despite cleaning it after 3 games ( energizer cleaner) and hot water bath's once a month. Im not a very big fan of ebonite coverstocks and started trying some of brunswick balls having hearing good things about them.

If you take good care of it and have the occaisional session in the revivor oven, it works just fine.

I've had mine for almost three months...6-9 games/week, clean it after every set...reaction is still as strong as it was OOB...

over 150 games on it, and no problems, threw it it the revivor at game number 75, but there wasn't a whole lot of oil coming out. I keep it clean with simple green, and throw it on the spinner for some extra cleaning once a week
