Safe to say???
« on: January 23, 2006, 10:43:01 PM »
With the Action Packed coming out soon and a statement made earlier in the year by Columbia as to the Action being the only non-epoxy high performance release all season, is the epoxy line on the shelf for now???  It would seem to be the case and a good choice until they truly get that process down.

Who needs a 300 or 800, when I have a 294 and a 295!?!?!

Not being a Columbia staffer, I heard the epoxy will surface again but later in the spring or early summer. Now whether that is true or not I can not say with any certainty

Jeff,

What logic don't you follow?  Re-read the post.  A statement was made by Columbia that the Action was going to be the only non-epoxy high performance ball released this season.  Now that isn't the case.  I would guess mostly from the fact that the epoxy release(EPX) didn't work out the way Columbia thought it would.  I never said get rid of the epoxy line totally.  Just wait until the process is better.  Do more research.  Thus the reason for the Action Packed release since there most likely won't be another epoxy released soon.  Just wanted to know if no release will happen soon or not.  I honestly have no idea how you don't follow the logic of my question asked.

Mr. Nagy,
Thanks for the info.  I am glad you understood what I was asking.  I had a couple of guys at the shop wanting an EPX and told them to wait and see what happens since the first one wasn't what was expected.  How is your year going???  A little slow for me this season, but coming along.  A couple of new changes needed to be implemented and it has taken a little longer than I first thought.
