Thanks to my guy Shawn Morris for giving me an Apogee early. This ball is gonna be great. Used my default layout, pin over the fingers on the span line, MB right of thumb, small hole to legal. The first thing I thought of when throwing this ball was Vapor Zone. This is a look that Columbia hasn't had much of, pretty rolly, nice hit through the pins. Will be pretty versatile ball, drilled one for Lynda Barnes this weekend also. Rolled really nice. She alot straighter than me, but the ball hit really good! Hope this wets your appetite a little!

So what you're telling me is it rolls better than it looks
Luckily for Columbia....Storm released the Double Agent..which is even more hideous looking haha.
If it works...I might try it though...beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Actually if you see one in person, the APOGEE looks pretty good. Check one out in person first.

That's what I was told also, middle of September.
Yes, ball looks okay in person. Haven't seen any pictures. Kinda like a shiny Reaction Ricochet, with some brownish/goldish added in. White pin, orange logos. From a few lanes away I thought Chad Murphy was throwing a Mean Machine, looks similar, except for logos are brighter on Apogee.
Assymetric core with Action type shell. Don't be afraid to knock the shine off for heavy oil. Gonna be a pretty good ball. We have some regionals coming up, I will check and see what Chris Barnes is throwing. I didn't get to watch him much this passed weekend, think I saw him throwing Action.

I have apogee pin under ring and two pin over ring mean machines with mb just right of the thumb about an inch. IMO the mean machines are much stronger and earlier in box finish with me throwing them the Apogee is nowhere near as strong of a ball in oil. Apogee does roll alot like the pin over ring Vapor Zone i recently sold but it is pretty shiny out of the box, the ball actually is nice looking a darker Gold messenger look too it.

With the pin white pin and the orange "MB" the coloring of this ball is easily to detect.
Well I stacked the crap out of mine, 3 3/8 and mass bias down and to the right of the thumb. and I will tell you this, right out of the box on a fresh house shot this ball made a nice transition didn't jump too much and it is very readable. I can compare it to the alter ego ( same drilling),(which I personaly thought was a great ball). Gets down the lane really easy, and moves hard on the back end. I think with more games on the cover it'll change for the good. I will let you know once i get another 30 games on it.
