and I said "PLEASE, I ONLY WANT TO GET ONE MORE BALL." he responded "THAT WAS WHAT 12 BALLS AGO." I said back "WELL, YA BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT."

It's a new core that nobody knows what it looks like.

It's a coverstock that nobody knows what it is.

The only thing I know is that it's assymetric.

How is that an answer to my inquiry?

New Core yes, Yet I know what it looks like.
New coverstock (only if M80 is a new coverstock.)
Asymetrical yes, but I am not saying anything extra. It is up to joe if he wants to give you anymore specs. I will say this it is said that OOB it will fit between powerdrive normal and sanded.

Not trying to be mean just not trying to let out to much info.

I don't get why it's a supposed to be a big secret what this ball is??

Why allow speculation amongst the crowd when you could be stirring up a positive vibe about the ball by letting everyone know what they can expect. Keeping everyone in the shadows leads to most everyone getting their hopes up and expecting too much.

It's kinda bad that I get my staff balls before Columbia even puts it up on the website. They should have it on the website a month ahead of time saying "COMING SOON!!!"  Instead the balls just show up and they have almost no pre-release excitement.

Sorry it just bugs me.....

I agree with you here, I would love to talk about this ball and its stats. I would also love to say what I think about it but it isnt my ball to tell about. I really wouldnt mind if there wasnt so many people on here able to read everything. Hey if I had it my way I would talk about all the new stuff coming out at all times. I would love to build the hype up for a ball. I will say this though, after what I have posted on the forums saying what I would like to see and why they havent made it yet. They did it, so if you know what I have said I would like to see come out of columbia then you might have an idea. Yet other then that if you want more info you might want to nicely ask joe. Once agian not trying to be mean.

What secret are we keeping?  You know the cover and the core? The ball is going to launch in September?  What more do you want?  We've already have it in our new ball catalog so I don't understand?

The name came from our new marketing department and I guess they are doing a good job because everyone is already talking about it just because of the name and just wait until you see the reaction of the ball.

Jon we are working on a lot of things in San Antonio as everyone knows we have been making some changes.  We are working on getting the balls on the site before launching them.  You'll see some of those changes happen this year just please give us some time.  As you know we've been putting a lot of time into creating NEW products.

Thanks.

I think its a cool name!  Don't change the name!  As long as they make the logo look like the Action and not the Hyjinx, it should be sharp and mysterious.

Thank you joe, I was waiting for you to say it was in this years ball catalog. I know alot of the guys on here are probly pulling a homer simpson with saying doe. Not to be mean guys but come on that was the easyest way to find out about it. When you read its core numbers you will be impressed, and you really be impressed by the intermediate-diff. I couldnt belive the number that it had, yet it was still placed in the line they put it.

We know the cover, M80 is great, no doubt about that. The core is new so we don't know anything about it but the name Capstone.

The truth is if it weren't for you Joe, there would be nothing but people guessing as to what this will be.

I know Columbia is sticking to its plan about making less balls which means there is less room for error in making sure it's a good one.

If the ball had some momentum and positive hype before it came out, it would sure help in sales.

I try to do my part by making videos and letting people know what they can expect. It would just be nice if they let the staffers and elite Pro Shops have some information a bit earlier so they can help build some buzz for a great new ball.

Jon all your work is greatly appreciated and we are working on exactly what you are talking about.  Like I mentioned before you will notice a good amount of changes.  I'm 100% with you on this one but sometimes it's just not that easy to do.  Thanks again for all you do.
