How strong is the World Beater?
« on: March 11, 2011, 07:57:53 AM »
Looking for a ball for fresh house shots when my Onyx Vibe isn't enough. Don't get me wrong, the Onyx Vibe is sneaky strong, but is best after about a game or game and a half. Would the World Beater be good? Not looking for a hook monster, just something to bite through the fresh oil. I'm starting a league at the end of this month. Before our league, they have a doubles league that they put out fresh oil for. Then after they are done, they will oil on top of that for our league. So there will be a decent amount of oil and possibly carrydown as well. I'm a stroker, around 280-300 RPM, 15-16 MPH ball speed.

I just drilled a world beater when i was in reno for the usbc nationals....  This ball is really strong...  It worked really well in reno  and i Threw it yesterday in league for the first time and i can tell ya this baby needs some head oil (typical high end hook monster) I dont know how much oil you bowl on or your bowling style but if you have hand this ball will probably be too much....  If you are looking for something a little more than your vibe id go with either the outburst or a raw hammer jacked...  Both balls are stronger than the vibes but are not going to be a drastic step up over them.....  I think with the world beater you are going to have a huge gap unless you drill it weak or shine it....

The world beater is a phenominal ball but i think for what you are trying to accomplish there are better options ...  Any questions or ideas  message me and ill try to help you the best i can

I'd say a Brawl or an Outburst would be a better bet for your fresh lane conditions.  It'll bite through that fresh and really whack the pocket.  The outburst will probably pick up a little earlier and have more of an arc, while as the brawl will have a little more of a snap to it.  Even a Jacked would be well on fresh

i will second the OUT BURST --- its just a phenomenal ball for the money. i have thrown the  world beater at a demo and i liked it. but the Out Burst was a better bang for the buck and just flat out kicks the crap out of the pins, hits extremely hard, rolls nice and continues through the pindeck. great on heavy and medium oil. get it!

The world beater is strong for me on a fresh shot, but I put some polish on it and it's magic just perfect for the lanes...
I don't think you would be disappointed, rolls great and has very good carry.
