« on: December 20, 2010, 10:08:05 PM »
i was looking at getting this ball and i would like your input as to how it reacts with different lane conditions. i have mostly all aggressive balls, so i need to ball down. or should i look at something else? whats your input?

The Burst is designed to go long, but it still had plenty of kick on the backends, there have been many nights where I have had to turn to the Burst come game three cause everything else I had with me was too strong early.
Great ball
give it a chance

Without a doubt the most versatile ball I own. Always the first out of the bag for me. You will love it!

On my Wednesday "higher volume" THS on synthetics this ball has paid for itself a few times in jackpots and last game doubles jackpots.  I took the surface on mine down to 2000 and just touched it with a 4000 abralon pad and this ball has great control in the midlane with a hard "pop" off the back, nothing jerky though.  I''ve not thrown it polished, but at the same time that''s not it''s spot in my bag.

For me, the ultimate control piece / benchmark.

HIGHLY recommend this with surface for true mediums and medium-heavy THS.

Yeah, another +1 for the Burst, it's probably one of the top 5 bowling balls I've thrown in my lifetime. We like to joke that the ball has GPS because it's ridiculous how well the ball rolls.

this sounds like the ball i might want to really look at. since the ball gets length, how many of you have drilled it pin down?

I have one pin down and one pin up. The pin down starts up a few feet sooner and is a little smoother. Honestly drilled either way I can adjust the surfaces and play the same parts of the lane. I usually decide which one to use depending on how its going threw the pins.
