Title: Closest to Momentum
Post by: C300_Rye on April 18, 2011, 04:17:12 AM
What ball currently our (I'd prefer from C300) is most like the original Momentum? I had one when they came out and wish I could something like it now. Please let me know your guys opinion! Thanks

The Burst is basically a momentum maybe a little cleaner through the fronts but other then that its spot on

Freeze

I'm in the process of trying to find out where I fit in the bowling world. I do not know my tech specs of my game, but it's all a learning process.

The Freeze has the same coverstcok and finish as the Momentum, but a higher RG core, with simialr differential.

You'd have to drill the Freeze stronger and you might want to go to 2000 grit Abralon + polish instead of the stock 4000 grit + polish.

The numbers are basically identical for the burst and momentum. I think the freeze would not be enough ball compared to the momentum

But since cover is generally accepted as around 70% of ball reaction, core comparisons are almost incidental.  Saying the balls reactions will be similar is little more than wishful thinking.

They are similar. I've had both, and they react a lot alike.

i had a freeze drilled rico but shifted up a half inch off center grip at 2000. was identical to a momentum with plenty of pop on the backend. And i loved the momentum as well so i tried hard to find something similar to it.

I agree.  The Eruption is closer to the Momentum than the Burst or Freeze were for me.

I drilled the Eruption last night and threw it in league. Very close to my Momentum i had before.
Burst would also be very close as well.
