Looks like C300 is releasing an all black Eruption Pro.
I think they're trying to do the whole XR Vibe thing here....
-
OR they realize not all people are fans of the bright colors. I personally like the black so much more over the orange
-
This is not a Columbia release, it is a private release.
It is also a limited release of 500 bowling balls as anyone who puts up the money can have a bowling ball made for them.
That is what Cliff Barnes did with the XR Vibe.
The Ebonite family has a 500 ball minimum, so yes even you can have a ball custom made for you too.
You just have to shell out about $30,000.00 or more depending on what you want made :o :o :o

That's only $60/ball, retail them for $120, that's $30k profit.

Bad math or a typo? I'll let the public decide... :P

Question here, the black ball is the same as the orange ball though, right??
-
Idk but I got two of those black widow fears coming from bowlersmart.com!

Yep, this is true. It's only available through a few select distributors. I have my order in for one of the 500 to be made. :) I'm going to sell it at a huge profit to milo. He like the limited edition collector stuff. :D
-
Ok, you got me. I'll give you $29.95 for it. ;D
-
I like the black in appearance more then the orange. The orange is very popular and the black will be a great sell to those who just can't stand the brightness.

Ok, you got me. I'll give you $(2)29.95 for it. ;D
Sold!! ;D
-
That better include shipping!
-
I like a ball with dark color(s) with a bright spot that gives you a tell on the ball rotation
-
Looking at Ebay in the 14lb category, they are selling these at the regular prices of the other Eruptions at 114.95.

This ball has a red pin, so no such luck.
I actually hate seeing a white or bright pin on an otherwise dark ball. Hmmm, I might have to get me one of these black balls. My pro shop has one on display already.
-
I have drilled one of the Black Pros and I have to tell you from what my experience the black rolls much better than the Orange. Really good ball! Don't be afraid to buy one. It is special edition and limited to 500. Get it while you still can!
-
I don't see any problems with the orange ball...Just show the video of Ron Hickland
shooting 800... :D :)
That usually will do it...
Seriously...With some of the colors that Columbia has brought out recently..Their
balls have become TOUGH sells...
Crazy Antics... ??? ???
What were they thinking...
Please Columbia...Get back to basic's...
The only ball people seem to be talking about...Is a ball most pro shops can
get...Smart Columbia, real smart...
Maybe Columbia could copy some of the tactics that Hammer is using...
Their Assassin is giving the IQ TOUR FUSION a run for it's money...
Not only do their balls SELL...Pro shops can get them...
Very Sad Columbia...

i have had both, the orange one didnt do well for me, although i redrilled and tweaked the surface. the black on is a little cleaner and a little stronger.
may have been me futzing with surfaces, but the black one is working well for me
