Resurgence vrs. Momentum
« on: November 22, 2007, 02:16:57 AM »
I love my resurgence for the heavy patterns but despite several cover changes, finer grits, polish,my resurgence has not worked out that well for me on mediums.
now the momentum is due to come out soon with a polished cover and the same core.what's going to make this ball better then a polished resurgence?
the only thing I can think of is that the momentum's cover will be stronger then the resurgence.

I polished my resurgence and LOVE the reaction more so than OOB.. I guess it just depends on where you want to play on the lane.. I plan on getting a momentum, already have it ordered..

I like my resurgence, just like playing around with the new stuff to see what I can see,LOL.I think it helps me to know what to expect/not expect what the ball will do.
I want to use my findings to make a decision on the momentum,if it's just a resurgence with a polished cover then fine,I know what I want.but I don't understand how a co.could just sell the same ball just polished in such a short time spand.
if that's the case I would just get another resurgence, drill it differently, polish it up and call it a day.

The Momentum has a totally new coverstock. Its not the Resurgence cover polished..

Momentum is the next generation in ball performance from the new Columbia 300.  The Momentum was designed to compliment the already popular Resurgence.  This ball features the same core (Resurgence) with a new coverstock that we have dubbed ¡¥Ne2¡¨(New Era 2)  This combination comes polished and will provide great length with a strong arc though the pins.  The Ne2 shell is special because of the contact area it creates with the lane.  This contact area provides more friction in oil so much friction; we polished it to move all the power to the end of the oil pattern and the backend of the lane.  This ball provides the same smooth arc to the pins as the Resurgence only later on the lane.

Momentum is a three-color pearl (Purple/Orange/red) ball that is available in 12 -16 lbs.

Attend a demo and try the ball if you don't believe the Momentum is different.  Remember C300 is now part of the Ebonite family and most balls released are not remakes with different color and finish as other brands.  Each ball is different with a purpose.  Major reason why I stick with balls made in Kentucky

according to columbia, it's a new cover, NE2 pearl. but the core is the same.
