New Ball?
« on: June 04, 2023, 12:30:19 PM »
I have a Columbia Sideswipe Solid that I would like to replace with something a little stronger.  The Sideswipe is finished at 500/2000 Abralon and has an RG of 2.52 and a Diff. of .042.  It's not a bad ball but I'd like to find something in a solid that would give me a little more "kick" and not leave as many 10 pins.

I am looking at a Columbia Cuda, an Ebonite GB-2 or GB-4 Hybrid.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

GB-4 Hybrid or Kinetic Cobalt if you're sticking with the Brunswick brands.

From the Storm side, the RG Hyped Solid would actually be pretty close to a new version of the Sideswipe Solid

I don't throw Brunswick products but I'd for sure have as many kinetics as possible if I did.

Loved mine during the ebonite owned era.

I second SVstar on that recommendation, very good core and there is a reason they still make the line, and got rid of so many others over the years.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

Thanks for your reply.  How about the Brunswick Knock Out Bruiser or Track Paragon?  They are both solids and look to be close to what I'm looking for.

Do yourself a favor and get a Hammer Dark Web.  RGs and diffs are closer to the Sideswipe and it is also a solid.  I have seen some videos from The Hype and a couple others and it rolls extremely well.  Thinking of getting one myself as I need a mid range solid and this has been at the top of my list for a while now.
