Title: Cuda/c
Post by: willderkeith on January 27, 2004, 06:24:57 PM
If any one can help me out, I'm looking for the closest ball that would compare to the Columbia Cuda/c. I'm in the market for a new ball and would like something that is closest to it. I can go with something that has more hook, but not too much.
Any help would be great.

Will,

Have you looked into finding a Cuda/C 2000 or Cuda 2000?  I have both and in very good condition.  What weight are you looking for?

Realize that the old original Cuda had, I believe, Columbia's Flexcel cover stock which is consider very mild by today's standards.
The closest balls that match it are probably the AMF Scamp, Columbia Piranha (with slight polish) and the Track Dry Heat.
There are several balls that have the equivalent performance on today's heavier oils: Messenger Ti solid, Messenger Ti Traction (with slight polish), Track Crunch, DynoThane Vendetta Black, Brunswick Bruiser are all excellen tmedium oil choices with good power.
