backyard Bully
« on: January 13, 2005, 02:54:07 AM »
so, last night my pro shop owner drilled up his backyard bully expecting to go balls out with it.... it came down to that this ball needs dry lanes to have the reaction that he and i expected.... put this ball on oil and its just a smooth roll and it hits like a trooper... put it on dry and it has that skid snap reaction that people were waiting for.... i would say the super trooper would give you more for your money than this ball....

I drilled my Backyard Bully last week before going to the Regional in Laughlin. Let's get one thing straight, this ball doesn't need dry lanes, it just needs some backend to work with. I used it during the practice squad and could play deep inside down to the fresh backend and then FLIP. Same on my house shot, just from less angle, more around 15 to 5. It's definitely a different look than Columbia users are used to. Don't attempt to use on lots of oil or carrydown.

well... my pro shop owner, Jeff, threw his backyard bully again yesterday when we were bowling on pattern E to practice.... that ball carries some weird stuff, i still think it hits like a muffin but it got the job done because he walked out and shot 288 with it, it was mixin the pins the right way, it reacts more like a midline ball....
