Formula
« on: December 21, 2003, 04:53:02 AM »
Hello, Let me start out by saying I have been using Hammer equipment, but I decided to buy a Formula last week.  It is 15.4 long 1 inch pin, 2 3/4 top.  I bought one and drilled it up myself.  I had a suggestion to drill it up 4x4, so I did.  Let me tell you this ball is awsome.  I first used it in my scratch league thursday night.  Shot has had some heavier oil outside.  I played outside and the ball came back with great power.  Shot 732 with it.  Tried it friday night and the shot is a christmas tree pattern.  shot 236,236,300.  Then I took it to a tournament on Sat. Shot was very dry outside and medium inside.  I could swing this ball very well and it would come back with energy and still smash the pocket.  This has got to be one of the best balls in my opinion on the market for the money.  If anyone is thinking of buying this ball do not hesitate.  Great all around ball for me..

LOl yeah it is, lol no particle death yet. lol it's rare a ball lasts more than a month in my bag tho. Just drilled a Throttle on friday, wondering how long that will last me. lol my original plan was to use the throttle for a national tournament with sport conditions in may lol. it might not last that long it's been getting some use already. Used it for a world cup qualifer to make it to the next stage.

Have an acquaintance low tracker absolutely hates this ball!

Has tried two different extreme surfaces and still hates.  Doesn't seem like he'll try Jeff Mop's 800 grit.

I was shocked.  Also looks like driller maybe put in illegal finger weight!

I'm not knocking the ball, just stating this guy with ALL columbia is complaining.

I still think something with his setup is off, surface, weightholes, but I haven't heard end of his attempts to remedy.

Hey lefty, did your "acquaintance" check to make sure the layout was correct.  You said they are a low track player, generally meaning there PAP is like 3-5 inches over.  Maybe the ball just had a basic drill put on it from a drill sheet, and its actually like a 2 inch pin or pin axis from their axis point. Just a thought.

I have about 50 games on this ball and it still reacts the same and I have to agree with most of you that the pin action on this ball it great.  I get such a nice even reaction with this ball it is very impressive.  Great job on this one columbia.
