Columbia assistance
« on: August 09, 2005, 01:28:08 AM »
I have been getting a lot of help from Columbia this year.

Their pro staff has been helping me with tough over/under conditions AND also in selecting a ball for my son.

I love their tech docs I believe they are a wealth of great information.

Here's one that applies to me and maybe will help you too!

On our local SEVERE wet drys I have been trying successfully targeting 5 boards outside the oil line and it has really worked at one center!

At another it is just too dry in the suppossed wet so these other methods are becoming a part of my arsenal for this dryer wet dry center.

I have also added to my arsenal of tricks, Track Delayed reaction polish... It gives me the length without the hard backend of other polishes(thanks Mitch Beasley).  This has the same effect as wax but it doesn't degrade so rapidly.
Length with still a slow read off the dry.  AND...it lasts!

I also have just purchased a Lane 1 XXXL that is going to be a part of my warmup and may be used early in my sessions in this wet dry but but dryer center.

Third...I have recently tried a 1 X 6(MB) drilling with a reaction enhancing weighthole to smooth the wet/dry on the recommendation of Chuck Gardner of the Columbia staff......Long and VERY smooth.  I love watching that ball just spin around an almost stable pin almost all the way down the lane then sllllllllurve. Naturally Delayed reaction applied.

So smooth.  Dramatically different from a 2 X 2!

REgards,

PS Thanks Columbia
