That moment when you've been searching for a certain reaction like some older balls and then bam a new one gets announced that checks all the boxes.

This looks like yet another attempt to duplicate the IQ Tour using a similar formula - solid cover, low diff, and the same or similar color scheme (e.g. Track TourSIC, Brunswick Magnitude). Anyway, I loved my original Eruption but never threw any of the Eruption Pro balls before now. This might be worth a look.

The original Eruption was out before the IQ Tour and was a low ground, low diff. Modified Resurgence core and maybe Storm was copying their idea! The numbers are very similar and Columbia just changes cover stocks! Iíve had both and my preference is the Eruption line. I guess they all have similar bowling balls and itís all about the shape/reaction their wanting! Just my $.02, Bruce
OG Eruption 15 LB 2.46  .043
IQ Tour  15 LB 2.49  .029

If .043 is close to .029, then I guess we can compare the OG eruption to balls with diffs around .057 as well...

I use 14lb equipment and the numbers are almost identical between the IQ Tour and Eruption Pro Blue. I guess I look at them differently since not using 15lb. I prefer the Eruption myself, but thatís basically because I like the cover stock better.

How similar is this ball to brunswicks danger zone. I have the danger zone and love it but wish it could handle just a little bit more oil volume and was wondering about  the eruption pro blue.

Definitely would not recommend the EP Blue for that. I would look at the GB3 from Ebonite if you want a good step up or a GB2 if exactly just a little more ball than the Danger Zone (which it sounds like the case.
Main Rotation: No Rules Pearl, Torrent, Match Up Black, Honey Badger
