great afternoon
« on: November 03, 2003, 08:00:26 AM »
Well im about a 200 average bowler and today i was bowling my high school league.  start off with no practice and first shot comes in a little light.  thought it might just be something i was doing. next shot was light again.  thought about changing to a little bigger hooking ball and playing the same line but instead i moved outside where there was a little less oil.  BOOM solid strike.  and the next, and the next.  rolled 268 that game.  next game i roll 255.  then finally i roll 279 the last game.  comes out to a 802 series.  i have never rolled a 700 in league (several in practice), and unfortunately this league wasn't sanctioned so i don't get my ring .  But i still have bragging rights over my friend.  figured i should put this topic in Columbia because i rolled the games with a Flipside Wild.  and if all of this isn't enough im only 17 .

Great day!  Shame it wasn't sanctioned, but you know you did it in a league setting.

Congratulations on the 800 but even more importantly, congratulations on being possibly the only person in the world able to get the Wild to finish in the hole on any condition.

DP you're kidding right!

Down home a buddy of mine had two 300s with his. Also a bunch of 780 and 790s.
He loves it as do others.  Big backend if lighter oil they ALL said.

Of similar design the Tornadoes from Ebonite had some big backends, as do the
Dynamic Grooves from Brunswick.  I've been very impressed with this class of ball on dryer lanes(pancake with Puck).

THe only ones who I haven't seen love are high rev high speed bowlers who throw these things right thru the breakpoint a lot!
