I've Noticed..........

I dont know if this is just me but I have not seen many posts/reviews about any newer Columbia gear like the Jekyll, Hyde, Ego, Etc. Anyone else notice this? Actually I havnt seen many people who even have them! I know one person with a Hyde, but thats it.

I've got a buddy of mine that has both Wicked's and he just keeps them at home.  He wasn't impressed with either one.

I dont think many people were pleased with much of the newer stuff. Just my opinion though.

I have a Icon 2 that I love, A Wild that I love, a WOW that i kinda love, and a Messenger Titanium that I worship. These balls are also the only Columbia balls I have and my current arsenal.

To me these balls are in the same performance as the messenger line. The messenger line has proven itself already.

When I threw Columbia stuff, I really liked the Icon2, Wow, Spirit, and Reaction Rip. Except for the C300 Gold Dot spare ball, I throw exclusively Brunswick now. I still have a WOW and Spirit tucked away in the garage, and throw them from time to time in practice. They are not part of my 'active' arsenal though.

I have a Reaction Roll I love!

Also a Reaction Rev, I loved until it cracked.
Another on the Drilling table ready to show off!

A Reaction Rip I like a little!  

Also have seen a lot of Rock ONs still being used that look awesome on synthetics.

Heard great things about the Formula, and the Ego already.

Plus I've seen the Wow Pearl look awesome and the ICON 2 tear up my new home house!

Lastly a friend won $10,000 in the last 6 months with an ICON300.

They still have good stuff.

PS I'm not sure Jekyl and Hyde were it.  Though I saw a 300 thrown with the Jekyl.

Seems like too many recent releases.  We're in the middle of the season, only so many balls anyone is going to buy, especially when they come out with a new ball every other week.

Actually I look at columbia's line up and it's pretty good. Mind you almost anyone will say there is a bit of crowding. But they haven't had an poor quality products released in the last 6 months or so. I'm judging all this on advertised Reactions. NOT on if the covers crack cause i've seen them crack on a regular basis anyways.

The Messenger Traction was pretty good, throttle was a heavy oil ball as promoted. Throttle-R was a strong pearl and it introduced the new Accelerator cover. Oh and the Jekyll and Hyde are probably two of the best balls on the market now. For dollar value! Can't be beat.If only they expanded the Hyde and jekyll line things would be good.

The Werid did not impress saw it's reaction die.

Now if they just eased up on the frequencey of releases things would be pretty good.
