Title: How can I tell the weight of the ball I was given?
Post by: KTeal on January 15, 2020, 10:51:29 AM
I was given a Columbia 300 women's ball. There is no weight marked on the ball anywhere that I can see. Can I tell from the serial number? The serial number is:USBC 9J080440A. Sorry but I know nothing about bowling. I'm trying to help my friend sell this ball that was used only once. Thanks! :)

Here you go.  This one works like a champ (one I have below).  Just put a ball cup on top.  Turn it on and let it zero out and put the ball in the ball cup.  Its actually a good idea to take a picture of the ball on the scale and scale reading and include that in a listing.  Scale pictures are valuable for those of us who buy used bowling balls.

Can I tell from the serial number?  NO.

1- stop by the local lanes go in the pro shop and have them weight it.
2- if one of the local grocery stores have a public scale use it.
3- use your home scale if it's pretty accurate.
4- go to the post office ask them to weight it.
