Jinx and Hijinx
« on: November 23, 2006, 12:58:57 AM »
How do these balls compare?

I got to throw the Jinx last night and it's one of the hardest hitting balls Ive ever seen in my life! The ball is sick and even better there is no over/under and its so clean thru the heads. The midlane is even more rediculous and then the hard arc on the backend just makes this ball worth having. Im going to stick with Storm equipment, but after throwing the Jinx I definitly want to get one.

I was wondering the same thing.  Hasn't been much talk about either ball.

bowlingball.com has the Jinx for $80 + shipping (around $17 for me), and the HyJinx for $90 with free shipping.

With the gift certificate/google checkout deal going on right now, I was thinking about picking up one or the other, or both.  Figured with that deal I could pick up both for about $112 out of pocket and save about $75.

If you do a search on Jinx in this forum for the past 30 days, you should be able to find a few threads, but like I said, not a whole lot of talk about these balls.......doesn't seem to be much talk about a lot of mid-priced balls on this forum....I guess everybody wants to throw the high performance stuff?

Here's how that bowlingball.com deal works out.

Buy 5 $30 gift certificates - have to buy them in individual transactions.  Use Google Checkout so you get the $10 off each transaction so the cost of each gift certificate is only $20.

So, you've got $150 worth of gift certificates, but it has only cost you $100.

Go buy the Jinx and HyJinx.  Should come out to around $187.

Use google checkout.  Enter code NL15 and get $15 off purchase over $150, so now you are down to $172.  Using Google checkout will give you another $10 off, so now down to $162.  Now enter your 5 gift certificates, bringing total down to $12.  You only paid $100 for the gift certificates, so your total cost is only $112 for both balls.

HyJinx is stonger off the spot, due to the stronger cover.  These two balls have been picking up steam across the US.  Good luck.
