Ti Pearl Replacement
« on: September 12, 2006, 06:19:17 AM »
Would the new Apogee be a good replace for the Messenger Ti Pearl (black&brown) or would one of the Action's or Wrath be better.  Need a ball with a similar reaction to the Ti Pearl.

Thanks for the help.

The Apogee is a strong, solid, dull (at least, not polished) asym reactive.  The Action is similar, but symmetric.  I don't think either would be all that similar to the Messenger Ti Pearl.  The Wrath (not the XP) would be closer in reaction, though it looks like it might be a little bit stronger.

The Apogee is not dull, and it comes polished OOB.

The Apogee would be stronger than the old Ti Messenger though. Your best bet is the Wrath which comes with the old Ti Boss core and the roll on those old Boss balls is similar to the Messengers.

I was just guessing by the info on the C300 website, it mentions that the Apogee isn't polished.  It doesn't state the sanding grit either, though.  It could be 2000-grit or more, that's pretty shiny looking.

Must be incorrect info.  Everyone I've seen out of box is definately polished.  Oh, and the little brown thing is downright nasty too.

600 grit polish from San Antonio and the Wrath would be a tad stonger than the old Ti-Mess.  If your a speed dominate player I would also take a look at the Jinx/HyJinx.
