« on: February 13, 2005, 01:16:19 PM »
Woohoo, 300 saturday with a bully

Layout was 4 x3 with small weight hole near the thumb, surface was 800 wet sand with a little coat of track's clean and dull.

Ok if you use that logic the Bully is 75% C300 and 10% is Mr. Pinel's since C300 (BASF) made the coverstock and that's at least 75% of the reaction. Mr. Pinel's cores are used in lots of balls, so what.

Oh and nice bowling Dude.

Regardless of who makes what, a 300 game is still a 300 game!  Nice shooting!

All (or most) bowling balls make me drool regardless of manufacturer and designer.  I want them all!

Hey, Dude (notice how I worked that in with your signature, lol) ---

Nice shooting!!!!  I'm still a fan of Columbia equipment, and with all the exposure Brunswick is getting on the PBA telecast lately, it's nice to get good news about Columbia stuff.....

From the book Revolutions 2:

1- Coverstock and surface preparation 65-70%
2- Core 10-15%
3- Pin placement and Dynamic weights 10-15%
4- Mass Bias 0-10%
5- Balance hole 0-5%
6- Static Weights 0-2%

So my numbers were off a bit, but you get the idea.

Sorry, but it's not true any more with asymmetric cores. And the core + pin + MB placement is one huge amalgam now.

Hell, I threw a 300 with an AMF Ninja Master in 1994. No matter what ball you're throwing, it still comes down to the bowler.

LOl thanks all, the ball really has been a great match up for this season. I liked the big bully, more smooth and handled a little more oil, but the backyard has still been sitting on the back burner of a while now, too snappy.
