Need a drilling recommendation
« on: January 29, 2008, 03:49:41 AM »
Hey Columbia fans!!

I'm buying a NIB Momentum (16#) today. Can a guru here give me a clue as far as what layout gives me the most continual hook? I dislike skid/snap (hockey stick shaped) and prefer banana shaped/hard arcing hook. I am a medium rev - slower ball speed stroker/tweener in which my fav "first ball in practice" line is 22 (right handed) with my feet and #12-#14 target at the arrows. My current book average is 215. Balls in arsenal: Storm Paradigm, Roto Apocalypse, Triton Heat (the OLD red one) and a Blue Pearl Pulse (drilled max length for 10 pins and extreme desert)

I need all the specifics anyone can give me-- Pin Distance, Pin Out/In, Top weight, everything.

My old driller has moved across country and I need some help!

Thanks in advance!

Try a pin umder bridge, with cg slightly shifted right. You need to know span to determine pin length, usually 1 1/2" -2" would work. Top weight lower to start ball into roll earlier. Just one way, others may have additional input.

Thanks, that helps alot! I guess I should have thrown in there that the lanes are med- med light oil with your occasional reverse block wet outside/dry inside condition
