Pretty interested in this release.  A high end performance hybrid with a really cool color combination (crimson/black/cherry) and a new asymmetric core.  Good to see the Columbia brand still trying to be relevant in a crowded marketplace.

Coverstock:  Formula 1
Core:  Shifter Asymmetric featuring Dynamicore
Surface:  500/1500 Siaair
RG:  2.47
Diff:  .050
Int Diff:  .015

I thought it rolled like a symmetric too.  Almost had that stand up look with continuation like so many tall core Brunswick balls over the years

My thought is that with such a strong core (2.47 RG and .050 diff) combined with a lot of surface (500/1500); it is expending some energy in the fronts in order to read the pattern front to back that it takes away from that extra pop we typically see from asyms. By comparison the core of the Speed and the core of the Reality are really close numbers wise (2.47 vs 2.49 and .050 vs .052) yet have very different looks on the lanes due to the difference in their covers and surface.

'When Dom Barrett used the Speed to win the major last month, his Speed was polished.  And it looked very good!
