New Scout Reactive (Pancake Block)

Anyone using these on light oil? What kind of reaction are you getting and how do they hit?

Trying to decide between the Scout and the AMF Angle.

The ball will hit fairly well if used on the right condition.  I have seen my brother throw some hairy "scouts" with his.  As long as there are fresh backends, the ball will have a somewhat skid/flippy type reaction to it since the ball is all cover and will need dry boards to have any kind of reaction. As soon as there is any hint of carrydown the ball will squirt and hit rather weak if you still hit the pocket (maybe leave some flat corner pins).

Just like Twohand mentions - it is basically a good choice for light oil, but the lane has to be clean and longer oil and carrydown will let it skid forever and hit weakly.
It has high RG, so it pushes well doen the lane, but the pancake does not promote a powerful roll. The ball mainly "works" through its coverstock and dry boards. It works very well for players with lots of hand, though, and with aclean back end you can create some serious hook and angle with it - but I would not call the breakpoint very sharp. It goes through the oil, reads the lane and delivers the side roll you put into it.
