No announcement from Columbia
« on: February 10, 2007, 12:24:30 PM »
Does anyone else think it kind of strange that no one from Columbia has made an official announcement?

Yeah my distributor's shelves of white dots are almsot empty. I just picked up a bunch of the Amf Extremes( amf poly) for clearance. So i'll be ok for a bit.

I sent in one sheet at a time, once the sheet was full, throw a stamp on it and mail it off. Not too time consuming if you ask me.

I had over 30,000 points in the system at the time the company was sold.

The night I heard of the sale, I went online, redeemed all my points and just received all my gift cards today.

I did send in one last sheet just to see if the points get counted. If not, oh well. It was fun while it lasted......

first,  i did not expect a company who we have been dealing with for over      30  plus years to be sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!
second,  we usually send in about 8-10 sheets at a time.
third,  we have received just about all of our points and rewards.
forth,  you need to have a certain amount of points to cash out anyway.
so i see no point in sending one sheet at a time. i believe the amount
of points needed to redeem is 25,000.  so one sheet will not make much
        of a difference.
fifth,  i still feel that even tho the company was sold, they or ebonite
should have given the shops X amount of time to send in any stickers.
to say,  we have been sold, and no more stickers as of yesterday.
was low.  however they did give shops time to cash out their points.
sixth,  i so glad you have the time to mail in one sheet at a time.   to me,
mailing in one sheet at a time is a waste of postage.

Well jls, I guess we will never see the same point on this subject.  I just feel it's not's old Columbia's fault that people still have sheets of points in there shops.  I'm sure it wasn't their intent to do that.  The way I look at it is it was a free program that didn't cost me anything besides the stamps to get my points.  As I mentioned before nobody else did a program like this? I commend Columbia for it. You are entitled to your opinion.
