Let's make some noise with the latest mid-price release from Columbia 300! The Noize brings together a piece of our past with the centerpiece of this New Era. Inside you'll find our proven Ti Boss core surrounded by our New Era shell. This shell, which was featured on the Resurgence, was the most accepted shell in the market last year for heavier volumes of oil. This combination (high RG core design and aggressive coverstock) will provide all bowlers enough total hook to compete on any oily lane condition.

Sounds like an interesting combination, and at around $95, it might be something worth taking a look at.

H*ll's bells! There are discontinued balls going for a lot more money that that one will be. I may buy one and polish the bejeezus out of it, just to see a real ball do its thing again. Wish I saw enough oil to use it stock.
(But then it's an Ebonite coverstock and I still worry ...)

Because you don't know the meaning of hook?

Haha!  I was thinking the same thing.  It looked like the Noize was the cleanest/straightest ball.  Doesn't it have the Resurgence Cover one it?  The Momentum Swing looked like it had good motion.

J_Mac,

Someone asks a question and you give that kind of answer. I am just curious what is your meaning behind your answer? (Because you don't know the meaning of hook) What exactly are you meaning by that? I know a bunch of people that will argue this one till they are blue..

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.

The Jazz was hooking more than the Noise, as far as I can see, because he was throwing the Noise at least 2 mph faster, maybe more. Also if it was the same oil pattern/amount, the Noise could have been "burning up in the midlane" it is a much more aggressive coverstock as well as a much lower RG, than the Jazz.

Aside: Did anyone else but me not realize that Jazz is supposed to be solid Super-Flex, not pearlized Super-Flex? (I just looked carefully at the Columbia web site and re-read the BJI ball reviews for this month.)

the Momentum Swing might be finding itself in my bag in a week or two, the reaction it has is powerful in the mid-lane and backend
