Title: Older Vids?
Post by: C300_Rye on May 29, 2010, 02:02:30 PM
Hi guys I was wondering if anyone had any vids of a ball thats pretty aggressive type of ball thats drilled with pin under the middle finger? I'm gonna get a Pure Physics and am considering this drill. Please let me know. Thanks.

all relative to your pap, pin location in terms of grip means nothing.  for me a pin below the middle finger would be about 6" to pap, for another player it could be 4" to pap.  thats a big difference

yea I understand that. I just want to see something in that ballpark. Instead of the layouts that are much closer to the PAP.

All else being equal a ball drilled with the PIN down will read the lane sooner than a ball with the PIN up - both with the same PIN to PAP distance. The PIN high ball with hook later but harder.

You will have to be careful on PIN down layouts not to get it so low as to roll over the middle finger hole.

Yes very true Dave!

I was just wanting to see some vids of stuff with further away from the PAP on the negative side of the ball. It seems that in all these videos people bowl on alot more oil than I see lol. And I dont have an overwhelming ammount of hand but decent enough.

Okay, here is a video that has part of it showing the same ball with 5" PIN up and 5" PIN down.

Starts at about 2:57 showing PIN up versus PIN down.

Hope this helps
