Full Swing Review
« on: July 07, 2009, 04:52:30 PM »
I don't feel that any ball ever deserves a perfect "10" rating, but this ball is amazing.

I loved the Power Swing, so I was excited to drill this black beauty up.  My first one is drilled 70 x 5 1/2" x 70.  This is the ball I used when the scoring pace is high.  With this layout, I get a clean read through the front part of the lane, a strong roll in the midlane, and an aggressive, ANGULAR move on the backend.  For the first time in a long time, you can actually see the ball going through the different stages of a ball's roll, from skid to hook to roll (my thumb slug locks up on the side of the ball when it gets ready to make that sharp turn!).  For me, this ball was about 6-8 boards stronger than a Power Swing.  It started to read the lane about 5-10 feet earlier, and had a stronger move down the lane.

For those consumers looking to replace their favorite black ball with red letters, get a Full Swing.  It is awesome.  This ball will fit any bowler's style, and will be able to be used on a wide array of different patterns.

Video will be shot in the next couple of days, look for it beginning of next week hopefully. Bill just got back from Vacation, so video production had to be put on halt for a little while.

I will have to agree with Tim about how amazing this ball is. I drilled mine with a 5X4 layout with the pin under my fingers.

On the fresh house shot the ball was clean through the heads and had a smooth backend reaction. After a few games this ball really came to life. I was able to move left and open up the lane. The more I moved left and threw it right the more the recovered.  This ball is a beast.

If your looking for a big hooking ball for the upcoming fall leagues this is the ball for you.

I truly love this ball reaction and it is something we haven't seen from Columbia300 in a long time.  It has that Columbia300 mid-lane with the added angluar continous backend reaction.  Also has great shelf appeal.  Bowlers always seem to be looking for that black ball! It is definately one of the first balls out of my bag still is.

Anyway, I just drilled 2 Full Swings up for Cassidy Schaub, 2-handed lefty, exempt PBA member for upcoming season. I wish you could have seen his facial reaction to this ball after he threw it. His comment was "I have never had an Asymetrical ball read the lane like this!" I watched Cassidy split the 8-9 pins over and over and over again. Almost like it was a magnet to the pocket. It definately has that Columbia300 reaction in the mid-lane but also has that angular continuous motion in the backend as well. This is a great all around ball for anyone. This gives you just another reason to drill your Columbia300 ball.
