I'm gettin a Rival :)
« on: August 09, 2007, 07:51:50 AM »
Well its official.  I talked to my proshop and he said that he has all ready ordered a Rival, and it will be shipped to him the day it is released.  I asked him if anybody had spoken for it and they hadn't so I did .  Might have to make a video or somethin of it when I get it.

I hear it is like a newer v2 same type of movement, Columbia's version of the gamebreaker.

I'm getting 2 NIB balls in a deal, the Rival may be one of them!  I like the ratings it got in BTM, looks to be a versatile piece, and it has a simple looking but low RG core which I tend to like.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Threw it tonight it is a stronger gamebreaker and has more backend, it would compare well to a t-road solid at 2k i have with same drilling.

The rival is earlier than the gamebreaker and the t-road solid which are both at 2k no polish. The Rival is at box finish which i have not checked the surface specs yet.

on edit this ball is still at 4k wow this ball trucks for a .040 diff and 4k surface alot ball for a mid price. The resurgence is at least 35.00 more but i cannot see why anyone would need it over the rival.

Ryan the rival does not hook more than the resurgence.  The Rival though is a very strong piece.  Mine is drilled with the pin in between the fingers above and the cg kicked out with a X-hole in my thumb quandrant and this thing moves.  The thing that I like about it though is that it has a very consistant roll that shouldn't get you in trouble on the lanes.
