Resurgence Vs. Full Throttle

For those of you who have both/either of these balls, how would you say they compare?

No comparison.. the Resurgence is 10x the ball.. It has an all new core and cover and will handle the heaviest of oil..  I had the Full Throttle drilled strong and it sometimes rolled out.. The Resurgence is drilled very similar and there is no quit in this ball whatsoever..

IMO, the Full Throttle, in fact the entire Throttle series was a bust for Columbia.. IMO, the cores and covers coming out of Hopkinsville right now are the best on the market today..

I agree with jkiser on the Resurgence handling the heaviest of oil and also the ball does not roll out at all.  I am very happy with both the Rival and Resurgence that just came out of hopkinsville, very good balls.

For those singing the praises of the Resurgance. What are your specs?

I throw about 18-19 MPH, with medium-high revs, (this is a bit of a guess, as I don't have a drill sheet in front of me) PAP 4 1/8 over 3/4 up. Reason I ask is our Summer League put out a modified verison of the Shark pattern for the first 4 weeks, and while I was coming off an injury and had no timing, I couldn't get my Special Agent to move at all. I was thinking of getting the Resurgance for this type of shot so your responses would help with my decision making. Thanks.

Jorge,

I don't think the bowler specs are gonna make that much of a difference. The Resurgence was made for heavier oil shots, period.. The cover and core are new and where designed for using the ball in heavy oil..

I know it will out hook a Secret Agent by 5 or so boards..

Between my Big Shot vs Resurgence, I would say the Resurgence is 2 boards stronger than the Big Shot. Both drilled differently. Both thrown in heavy oil synthetic.

you must have really strong big Shot or drilled your resurgence pretty weak, because my resurgence is at least 5 to 7 boards stronger than the Big Shot that I threw.

Jorge300-

Mine are 15-16MPH, medium revs, medium tilt.  I firmly believe the Resurgence will work for all styles.  The ball revs easily enough for the straighter players, while not so strong at the breakpoint that it would hook-out for the higher-rev players.

ElectricLeftSlider-

I think most people will see more difference between the Big Shot and the Resurgence.  I have an Action Attack and there's a wealth of balls that I could put between the Action Attack and the Resurgence.

To be honest, I truly love my Big Shot. I haven't till this day try to use it on medium oil THS wood. I already have difficulty throwing the Big Shot on the third game. Don't get me wrong, I also love the way the Resurgence play on heavy oil synethic. I think 5 to 7 boards stong is a bit to much. I will be picking up the Rival on the second week of September. I will also put out a picture of my Resurgence and Big Shot hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your input. Ordered a Resurgence this morning. We will see what it does when it comes in. Thanks again.
