Can anyone give me some feedback on the original Beast (not the beast solid)? I managed to find one, and I wouldn't mind having it, even if I don't use it as an all-the-time ball. Just some feedback - likes, dislikes, what kind of conditions it works for you on.
note* I found this ball online, and it is labeled as the original Beast. It's blue with red/orange writing, just to confirm that I'm looking at the right ball.
Thanks!

If it's light blue, then it's not the "original". The first Beast was purple reactive, not Urethane. If you're looking for something for drier lanes, to be even, and still provide some hit, then it would be a good ball.

What are you gonna do? Beat me with your Jesus stick?

Actually the very first beast in 1992 was purple and urethane! The reactive one came out in 93
-
The purple Beast was solid reactive, the blue was urethane, I had both.

Yeah, it's light blue. I managed to find this picture, as well as some info.

Thanks everyone.

If I remember correctly, you can check if the ball is the original if you count the number of teeth within the logo. For some reason 4 or 5 is what I'm remembering. I'm sure other C300 fans can give more info

stormed 1 is correct. C300 was slow (very slow) to go to resin. Urethane Beast was first then like they did with U-Dot added resin.
I should also note that I have product catalogs from that timeframe should anyone care to place a friendly wager on my knowledge of Columbia 300 history
