Encounter
« on: November 18, 2011, 12:24:08 PM »
I just got my new Encounter and was wondering if anybody that has had one a while went with box finish (which is really shiny) or if you had knocked the shine down some so it didn't go too far down the lane? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Out of box it does go lil long, i wanted to use mine for oily conditions so i knocked it down to 500u then polised it back up

Around here the feedback has been that the ball gets a little jumpy once the shot goes away...

Some have knocked cover down to a 1000  & 2000 pad...or even a  3000 pad to smooth out
the backend...

Excellent feedback on the ball so far...

Seems to be more of a game one ball...At least around here...

I hit both of the Encounters i drilled with a 2000 pad just because the factory finish made it fly down the lane and i love them both with the polish off. Other staffers i have talked to have hit it with a 1000 and then reshined it
