Re-Surfacing The Spirit

I have an original Spirit that is pretty tracked up.  Will this ball resurface well?  I noticed that it seemed to track up faster than my other equipment. Anyone else notice this with the Spirit?

All of my Spirits have been very durable. Columbia's factory finish was 600 cross-hatch followed by 2000 degree polish.
