Yes it could easily be used on medium oil without a problem. Ive known quite a few people who had the Resurgence and when there wasnt enough oil it just burned up way too fast.

oob the resurgence is best on Heavy stuff but polished i've seen it used effectivley on medium.  I haven't had a chance to see the Arch in person yet but from the videos and the reviews it can be adjusted fairly easily.
