Title: Replacement Ball help--Please
Post by: thedjs on January 19, 2019, 11:26:34 AM
My Sideswipe Solid has been really banged up to the point of having to resurface or replace.  Since I had rather not have it resurfaced could someone please suggest a good replacement ball in the Ebonite family?

Numbers aren't super close but wouldn't that be a spoiler?

Bill I think you're right.  Looks very close.  I'm wondering if the Ebonite Destiny Solid might also be a possibility?

The destiny is still that overpowered cyclone core...it MAYBE it, but the sideswipe Is still mid range to upper mid.

I'd be looking at the spolier, web, (even the web tour), and the track tactix....

The pros seem to really like the web line. Proven core too .

I have both.
The spoiler is less downlane than the Sideswipe solid, which I like when the backends are squirrely
The Destiny hybrid is pretty close shapewise to the Sideswipe solid, with the Destiny being a little longer and slightly stronger.

The man who could best tell you is Mitch Beasley - Track staff player. He knows alot about the entire lineup, past and present
shoot him an email  csr@trackbowling.com

Agree that the Web Tour is a special piece, but it has a different shape and reaction IMO
I've basically not used the Sideswipe solid and GB2 much anymore because of this piece.
