Title: resurgence core with stronger cover
Post by: J_w73 on May 23, 2015, 02:18:28 PM
What are the stronger covered balls that use the resurgence core?  Either solid or hybrid, but are smoother and have the ability to handle some heavier oil.

Old and new..

Thank you.

the disorder is the current and strongest one so far. im a big fan of that one and the delirium looks great too if you liked the blue eruption

Momentum Super Solid if you can find one. Disorder is a cheaper ball though.

The next one is stronger than the delirium
Should see info on 6-11

I have a Momentum Super Solid.. was holding it for someone.. Almost been holding it too long.. :D

You could try some surface on a Delirium as well. I have one box finish, and one at 2000 Abralon.. Both are awesome!

I saw TJ and a few others using it on xtra frame for the summer swing

Rumor has it there is a Delirium Solid coming out.  May want to hold off to see if this is a confirmed release coming up.

To piggyback on my earlier post; it was shown last night on the telecast that a Severe Delirium will be coming out.  When they listed Bill Oneills arsenal; that ball was listed.

What ball did O'Neil change to from the tour X? I'm sure track did not want to see that kind of performance from Jones and O'Neil throwing the new tour x. That ball looked terrible on that condition, way too over / under.

The Severe Delirium has the Bend It Hybrid cover, and is supposed to be stronger and smoother than the original Delirium. I cannot wait to get this ball in my bag!

i have both, I'm surprised at how well its gets through the heads (the SD)
its a great piece and will stay in my bag
i have the delirium drilled pin down and the SD pin right above bridge
so its a bit hard to exactly compare, but generally, you are right on with the comparison

The most important question of all though is how close is it to the original resurgence?

I'm sorry, I don't know

It's looks like the Severe Delirium is going to be closer to the recently discontinued Disorder than anything else. In fact the new Delirium appears have the same Bend-It Hybrid cover and Resurgence core as the Disorder, which unless I'm missing something means it's essentially a remake.

I love my two Disorders. It's one of the most versatile balls I've ever owned. I'm thrilled they brought back something very similar.

I wouldn't say it's like the disorder
The disorder is much earlier rolling IMO
The ball numbers are still important, but they don't tell the whole story anymore
New Core and cover technology can't be explained with the numbers in some cases
Look at the new Track Paradox, number wise, it looks like a skid floppy asymmetric piece, I'm told that is just not the case at all.
The SD is more like the Oath than the disorder IMO

Interesting. Same Bend-It Hybrid cover, same (or slightly modified) Resurgence core with same RG and almost identical differentials, yet the two balls have markedly different reactions? What's the newer technology you reference?

I don't know if it's anything specific
But when I ask these same questions, I get basically what I stated above
Either it's a closely guarded secret or it's just that complex
What I'm seeing with my eyes is somewhat different than I expected

The new track piece will be very interesting I'm told
Created quite a buzz inside the organization
There is definitely something different going on at EBI

It very well could boil down to additives in the cover.  May be same cover.  But say if one cover has 2 colors making it one part pearl and one part solid, and the other ball has three colors which would mean 2 parts one and 1 part the other; you very well could get two completely different reactions.  So there are two options as to why you see what you see.

theyve done it before. the disruption and burst are EXACT replicas of the resurgence. if the severe delirium is the same ball as the disorder thats great because i wanted to drill a disorder but missed out. manufactures also tweak the cover formula to keep it updated plus different hybrid ratios and box surface have to be taken into account

Disorders are cheap on clearance right now on a lot of online sites.  $69
