Title: Super-Flex with Surface
Post by: Garcia on January 20, 2005, 04:20:04 AM
Have any of u Columbia guys had success using surface on any of the Super-Flex balls? Nobody uses surface on these Columbia balls in our region. Yet they do use surface on other company's equipment. Is there a reason? Have any of you had success with surface on Super-Flex coverstock balls?

Thanks

We have dropped surface level and then polished back up to a lower grit polish on a few balls like the Detour and Messenger BSP and pearl. Smooth out the backend especially for your axis rotation.

Super-Flex in either pearl or solid version is as easily modifiable as any coverstock on the market and it repsonds to anything you want to do to it. Go for it.

Mike Wolfe won a PBA title earlier this season with a sanded Detour... I'd consider that success heh.

I dulled my Hyde a bit with a tan pad. Ball is much more predictable for me.
