Doesn't really say much does it?  One area it says it's a particle ball, in the tech box it only says reactive ?

I'm not a Columbia fan (not against them either) but that core looks nice ....

Jeff,

What difference does it make? Yeah, it's supposed to be another Messenger pearl-Cuda/pearl equivalent. In 2 months, they'll have the SPpirit II B out, because for some stupid reason they can't make this *special* coverstock anymore. Then they'll add some Holoflex so you can't re-surface it and you have to buy a new one.

Yes, I am pessimistic, even PO'd. I used to be a real Columbia fan. Now I am wondering:
"What were they thinking?"
and
"How stupid do they think bowlers are?"

bitter ?!?!?

I understand.....my point was...why put it on the site when it doesn't give a clear description of the cover and/or the core.......it is frustrating

Jeff,

If you recall though, Columbia could never decide whether or not the original Spirit was a reactive or particle either.

The ads said particle, the ball talker said reactive....depends on where you are in the loop I guess.

As soon as I get one I'll compare it to my 'Spirit I'. The original coverstock was a BASF creation, looked like a pearl, reacted like a light load particle reactive, and had a 'fuzzy' description from C300. The RG & Diff specs on the II are slightly different but close enough to make the reaction similar. Who knows, it might be as good as the ORIGINAL Spirit.

The flyer I got in the mail from Classic says this is a Reactive Particle Shell Cover Stock.

Well, whatever they call the new coverstock, the proof will be in the throwing and hitting.
Can't wait to get my hands on one. My original 15# Spirit has saved my butt a lot recently, and I would hate to be Spiritless some day. Last 2 or 3 league sessions pretty typical - Crappy first game trying to force a line with either the Inferno or Reaction Rip, then get smart and shoot 500 to 520 the last 2 games using the Spirit. Good ball reaction breeds confidence breeds good scores. Ain't it so simple.
