Title: The WOW and Axis Rotation
Post by: Ric Clint on May 16, 2003, 08:42:12 PM
Has anybody noticed that the WOW hooks more if it's rolled with more of an end over end fashion vs. if you use a bunch of side roll (or a ton of Axis Rotation)?

It just seems like when I put my hand on the side more, that the ball just does not hook that much.

But you would think, "more side roll - bigger backend". But I don't think that's the case with the WOW.

Oppinions???

Possibly the drilling?

Also I've found that when I let my particle balls do the work for me, they tend to work better.

I dont have a WOW, so I really couldn't tell you specifically.

Ric - If you come up the back more the ball tends to get into an earlier roll and thus begins to hook more and cover more boards.  With this ball the hook is gradual but steady.  When you come around the side the ball tends to get more length and then hook later but the look is more angular.

Is this what you mean?

Most balls do that.

My WOW is drilled with the PIN and CG stacked under the ring finger with a weight hole in the positive thumb quadrant.

Doc, you are correct in that when I come up the back more, the ball tends to get into an earlier roll and thus begins to hook more and cover more boards...BUT...When I come around the side, the ball tends to get more length but it DOESN'T hook later and the look is NOT more angular, it's actually straighter!

I don't know what deal is?
