Admittedly, not being familiar with C300 covers, it looks like both are lower RG and higher diff. I would certainly put a lower-flare layout on them, cover prep would be essential.
The FX is a pearl and the original is a solid. I'd probably go with the solid cover if I'm gearing it towards Nationals.
Also, one of the guys on the Junior Team USA support live stream was throwing an FX. If I remember correctly it was mentioned at some point.

I used both at Nationals. The regular Swerve seemed to match up better in team/doubles, but the FX got through the middle cleaner when oil started to break down in singles.
That's my experience with medium revs. A higher speed/rev player in our group had a good look with the FX the whole time. What works better will depend on style.

The lanes are pretty slick
Go see Bob or Dan in the EBI booth and they will help you
More surface is needed this year for sure
Legion solid was really good in Team event for me
S/D - I could have used something stronger IMO
