Ransom Demand or World Beater

I am looking to get a heavier oil ball and have been thinking of one of these 2 or possibly  a Nano. I would like to have a ball to move in on the heavier patterns that still has the backend to carry. I know some of the heavy oil balls just roll early and smooth. With that reaction the only shot for me is down and in and if that shot isn't there the ball won't work. It seems like a lot of the houses put plenty of oil down outside to keep the bowlers on more of an inside line.

 The Encounter is good one more earlier and backend than both, this ball has outhooked and more backend this includes the nano and raptor that i currently use

I was wondering what the Encounter does. A guy in our league shot 800 the first night out with his. And he has hardly any hook at all.

 It is earlier than two with very angular backend, its out hooks anything i have that includes nana and raptor

In "out of box" finish, World Beater would handle heavy oil better than Ranson Demand.

World Beater is 2000 Abralon, Ranson Demand is 4000 Abralon.

Rg of World Beater is higher, so ball will get down lane farther before making it's move, and will be smoother at the break point than Ransom Demand.

 

Surface change on either with proper early rollling, or smoother rolling layout will work with either ball for true, heavy oil pattern, but there may be better choices for a true heavy oil ball.

 

Usually, heavy oil conditions require straighter shots, with lots of roll, rather than stand right and throw left to break point like THS or shorter patterns.

I have thrown both during demo days at my local center.  The World Beater is more angular. Both balls hit hard but I think you get a better mix with the Ran$om. That is why I bought it over the World Beater.
