back door release for EPX

Does anyone else think the the EPX release has been strange?  A totally new cover material advertised in BTM as new chemistry coming in August.          1. It is not on Columbia's web site.  2.  It is for sale at bowlersparadise, no specs on core or cover, just a picture. 4.  No other web based business has the ball.  3.  No real pre-release info except word of mouth and writing here.

onlybowling  I see what your saying. It's not on the PBA approved list either. But I do know that I'll have mine next week and the one of he owners of MAD BOWL Proshop has his coming as well. Hopefully there's not any BS going down, but at this point it really doesnt matter to me......

I know this might sound dumb....But you do know that it is a PRE-RELEASE??

They said at Bowl Expo that it would be released in mid august.

The sites listed are well known for taking orders WAY before a ball is received by them ...or even released

NACDale - I didn't see that bowlersparadise was offering to take pre-release orders, if so, my bad.  My impression from the web site was that bowlers paradise has the ball now, it could be that they are just taking orders. BlockBuster clearly states pre-release.  I have not seen any other offerings.

It has the Rock On core, which is a great core! Saw the ball at Ace mitchell's trade show last week...I think it will be a seller. Lots of interest from many people when I was there.

This is not a limited run like the Professional..at least I have not heard otherwise. I am a Columbia Elite pro shop, and we did not receive the Professional as part of our package. We will be receiving an Epoxy though the Elite program.
