Was the big shot retired that quickly for a specific reason or what?

Just like when Track came out with there new line of balls before Ebonite bought them out, they manufactured a whole bunch of balls, then Ebonite decided to scrap what ever ball Track/C300 where making and started from scratch. You'll be lucky to find the Big Shot from pro shops and online ball sales. But what a ball. Glad I got my hand on it. After almost 100 games the ball still works like new.
