Why does my WD hook?

Bought a 15 lb.for my spare ball and the hand in the middle of my grip and it hooks at least two boards. Is this normal? Will I see a straighter reaction once it wears in? I don't have a lot of rev's or speed.

i put rain x on my blue dot every couple weeks. works beautifully.
