Have a buddy who is looking for a ball to handle light oil voulume, short pattern (32ft). He is a tweener with about 60 degree axis rotation and a decent amount of tilt. He throws about 17.5mph. He can get real good deals on both these balls and is looking for some info from people that have thrown them.

I have thrown the Wild and it can be deceiving. The drill pattern on this ball is VERY important, especially if you have a higher rev-rate. I got mine with a simple 12:00 drill with the pin over bridge, CG in palm (label drill?) and it hooks a bunch if you hit it hard. If you lay off the ball a little, it won't hook as much, but it also won't hit as hard. If he goes with the Wild, i'd go with a weak, almost negative drill and a bunch of polish.

I haven't thrown the Spitit II, but the Wild can be pretty flippy. On a short pattern like you described, I'd lean towards a weakly drilled Spitit II for control. If he can get a similar deal, I'd recommend a Beast or Beast Pearl (pure lightbulb without the flip block).
