Title: Wrath/Wrath XP
Post by: splendorlex on November 21, 2006, 01:45:43 AM
There doesn't seem to be much pub about these two balls.  I have an XP that I got with 1 game on it that I recently had the thumb moved so I could use it.  It's set up with the pin below the bridge and the CG swung to the right.  Will this give me an even, strong arc?  What can I expect with this ball?  Is anyone using the Wrath XP on a consistent basis, or is it more condition specific?

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bell Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Here is a shot of mine with about a 3-1/2" pin. It gets down the lane pretty good before making a medium arc to the pocket. unless there is dry. With a wet/dry condition this ball makes a very agressive yet controlled flip to the pocket. It does not like carry down though.

I have both, both with the same layouts.  For the money, I think this is the best 1-2 punch on the market.  When the night starts out, the Wrath XP reads the heads and makes a strong continuous move on the backend (people asked me if the ball had tires).  When the lanes start to hook earlier and earlier, and carrydown begins to develop, I go to the Wrath, and am able to stay in my comfort zone without sacrificing area or hitting power.  I really love both these balls from Columbia.

Ball layout (both the same):  Pin 5" from PAP, CG 3 1/4" from PAP, Pin 3" above HAL (horizontal axis line), my PAP is 3 1/2" right, no up/down
