What about this (colored star next to the user name in posts):

Green Star = 100 post count
Bronze Star = 500 post count
Gold Star = 1000 post count
Platinum Star = 2500+ post count

I think it would be a good idea to incorporate some sort of system to reward the long-standing members that contribute on a daily (weekly) basis.

Not a bad idea either.  For the rest that do nothing but complain, take a number and stand in line for the complaint dept.  I am so tired of hearing people b!tch and moan over every little thing on here.  Webmaster is doing his job (and a fine job it is).  Geez, get over it (and yourselves) and move on.

I was here when they offered Gold and I never bit on it.  Kinda glad I didn't but I wasn't nearly as deep into the site as I am now either.

I still think "membership title" by post count is a terrible idea.  I mean, do you really want me, jeffrevs, and BK25 making fun of you because we're ranked higher?  I think jeff and I are around triple platinum.
