Title: Your latest topic post contains inappropriate content or language.
Post by: Re-Evolution on February 18, 2005, 04:36:17 AM
Can you make the filter just fill in the place where the explative was placed with a generic key such as *****.

I spent a considerable amount of time typing a post and when I submited the post it was erased because of a typo.

Shot
accidently typed it with an I which is an adjacent key and my enitire post was not submitted leaving me with several wasted minutes.

I am sure that there is a way you can do this in the administration control panel. Every forum I have ever administrated had this feature.

I mean come on people are always changing the words to get by the filter anyway and we are all bowlers that here much worse at the local alley.

Sorry for the rant but it is annoying that I lost 15 minutes of typing due to a typo.

If you get caught in the Storm Track beware it could be a Typhoon or Monsoon with Rolling Thunder and Lightning Flashes that when Unleashed may send splintered Wood flying everywhere.

Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, click post button.

Sorry, I don't mean to be (too much of) a smart-azz, but when I've spent more than a few seconds typing a reply, I always save the text of my post to the Windows clipboard, in case my post cannot be successfully completed...

... with or without foul language.

This has happened to me several times. If I type something rather long now, I just right click and copy just in case something goes wrong...I can just paste it back.

Sometimes clicking the "back" button works, oftentimes it doesn't.  If the page refreshes, your text is bye-bye.

To play it safe, always select your text and copy it to the Windows clipboard, before clicking the "Post Reply" button.

How did this guy know what he mispelled if it erased his post? How does he know he mispelled shot by placing an I where the o should be?
