I just got a Disturbed that is at 2000 and it is a little too early. How much of a difference would I see taking it to 3000?
-
If you use Storm's recommendation for cover maintenance, you'll see more length with 3000 instead of 2000. It's enough difference to try out the change. I just faced the same thing you described with my Marvel S, and took it to 3000 last night.
If you don't already have it, check out the following link:

Thanks Steven. Did it make it more angular or keep the same shape and go longer? I'd prefer to keep the same motion.

I took mine to 3000. But stepped it up from 500. It helped a lot

A little longer, and a little more angular. Certainly nothing you'd call skid/flippy. If you jumped all the way up to 4000, you'd probably see a noticeably different motion.

I would try 1000 + polish, gets it through the heads and still has some teeth down lane.
at 3000 or 4000 dull, the ball will get lane-shine pretty quick
while there will be a difference between 2000 & 3000 dull, it will only be slight.
it depends on what you are looking for

Depending on the lanes you bowl on throwing it 3 games will bring the surface up from 2000 to 3000+

Good post downstroker, i was wondering the same thing, and was wondering what difference it would make on my sport league taking it to 3000 on patterns between 43-47 ft... I'll just leave at box......
