Title: Apply polish by hand?

Is it possible to polish a ball by hand or do you need a spinner?  I imagine doing it by hand would be a lot more labor-intensive, but I'm wondering if it can be done.  If the answer is yes, please let me know how!

I apply Snake Oil polish by hand all the time.  Yes, it certainly can be done.  However, just be aware that you're looking at a different kind of surface compared to something polished on a spinner.  The spinner lets you really get a high gloss shine, since the extra speed and friction let you burn the polish in.  If you apply polish by hand, it's going to be less shiny and therefore you'll get a little less skid and a little less snap.
